At the age of 36 ,Dr. Rahul Saraf has a unique combination of knowledge. Firstly he is a certified graduate of Ayurvedic medicine (Ayurvedic physician) i.e.- He has completed 5 ½ years graduation in Ayurvedic medicines and surgery awarded by Central council of Indian medicines,a government body.Under the course he has studied human anatomy, physiology, pharmacology, medicinal plants, surgery, preventive medicine, toxicology, gynecology and pediatrics with 1 year internship at hospital.
Recently Dr.Saraf worked with the Indian Army. He was involved into propagation of medicinal plants on defence areas and their use for the primary health care of soldiers and their families.
He is also trying to explore some new areas which are new to him and science, like :
1) Use of Ayurveda (diet, medicines, exercises) for a person suffering from high altitude sickness
– Persons living at high altitude suffer from a variety of illnesses at high altitude and even after coming back to normal altitude. Right now Dr.Saraf is treating various symptoms occurring because of high altitude (digestive system, respiratory system, musculoskeletal system etc.)
2) Use of Ayurveda for persons having extreme exposures to climate eg. – Symptoms and diseases
occurring because of exposure to High temperatures and cold temperatures.
Dr. Rahul Saraf is working in the field of medical tourism. Under which, he is working with persons from other countries having some condition or disease which is considered as untreatable or incurable by established medical science. Whereas in India, the same problem can be cured completely by Ayurveda and people in India are getting cured completely.
Eg- Varicose veins are considered untreatable, whereas Ayurveda can cure it completely. Same is true with chronic sinusitis, chronic intestinal problems, chronic hepatitis, osteoarthritis, Chronic stye etc.
And while getting cured the patient and family can experience India by visiting various destinations and various cultural and traditional events across the country .
He has been also working with an organization, in the field of conservation of medicinal plants for last 10 years. He has good knowledge of wild medicinal plants across the state of Maharashtra and their uses. He also has good knowledge of medicinal plants being used by some of the very successful tribal healers across the forest of Maharashtra.
With combining both strong knowledge, he is succesfully treating various illnesses at Aundh ( Pune ), Dadar (Mumbai) and Yawal (Dist-Jalgaon) for the last 10 years. During these years, he has successfully treated many diseases which are considered untreatable or hard to treat by established medical system E.g.- Osteoarthritis cannot be cured completely says established medical system, whereas Ayurveda can cure it completely. Same is true for Cirrhosis of the liver, Chronic renal failure, varicose veins, rheumatoid arthritis, dermatitis, and many more diseases addressed in this blog.
Dr. Rahul Saraf is also a propagator of Ayurveda (Traditional Indian system of medicines), which is safe, effective and eco-friendly. His awareness programs and lectures are not limited to India or only Ayurvedic institutes. But he has spread the word of Ayurveda across the world and many other institutions like pharmacy colleges, Forest department, social forestry, export – import bank, medicinal plant board and various educational institutes.
He is also honorary member of research and ethical committee of a reputed University in Pune. He is a member of action committee for cultivation of endangered medicinal plants, medicinal plant board.
