After that came many more books dedicated to various aspects like surgery, pediatrics, gynecology, toxicology etc.
CONSTITUTIONAL APPROACH
According to ayurveda human life comprises of 1) body 2) mind & 3) soul
Body- is the integration of 3 components
a) Dosha – VATA, PITTA, KAPHA
b) Dhatu – RASA, RAKTA, MAMSA, MEDA, ASTHI, MAJJA, SHUKRA
c) Mala – SHAKRUDA, MUTRA, SWEDA
Mind – has got three characters
a) Satva
b) Raja
c) Tama
All above characters in different proportions make human life. Thus, every person is different from the other. Also a disease will manifest differently into different persons.
Treatment of that disease will also be different in every person.
Ayurveda believes in diversity and yet harmony in this diversity, constitutional approach makes ayurveda more personalized of all the therapeutic sciences.
